Celebrating Outstanding Mothers This Day

11 May

Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ of Nazareth was certainly someone we should study as an example of motherhood. What an amazing women and mother, what an amazing person of spiritual integrity.

We read in Luke 1:30,” And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.” How did she find favour with God unless she was obeying Him? Surely Mary was a person who wanted to stay in the presence of the Lord.

Later in this chapter we read in Luke 1:46,” And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” Obviously Mary was woman who had an intimate relationship with Papa God. She understood the Lord our God is all about relationships.

Could we say it this way, that an outstanding mother is some one who has a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord?
Another thing that is necessary would be that she had a proper relationship with her family.
Clearly Mary supported her husband Joseph’s leadership. I rather doubt she was telling him which way the donkey should go and how they just missed the turn as they traveled about. She probably never contradicted his ideas and opinions in front of the children, or argued with him. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge say no more.
The Holy Bible indicates Mary taught all her children to honour Papa God in all things. You may recall the story where Jesus as a child went missing for 3 days and Joseph and Mary are frantically looking for him and then find him teaching and amazing all the leadership in the temple.
In Luke 2:49,” And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.” We see that Mary understood something here no one else was really able to understand at this point, or at this level because she had a direct encounter with the Holy Ghost and knew who her son Jesus really was. Let me continue sharing here from verse
52,”And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
Jesus Christ of Nazareth was divine, but laid aside and limited his divinity in his days here in the flesh. So He could be an example for us of a sinless man, overcoming sin and defeating Satan!
He proved to us that the same Holy Spirit anointing Him was available to us, and that we are to do these same works in His name and in His authority. Because if Jesus did all these healing and miracles because He was God, then how does He expect believers to do them?  However, if He did them through the works of the Holy Spirit then He has every right to expect us as His true believers and disciples to do them as well because He promised us we could and should. I submit to you for your consideration John 14:12,”Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Because besides inheriting your parents genes, you also have been preprogrammed by Papa God to accomplish good things. Before you were even in your mother’s womb Papa God said He knew you and had a good plan for your life.
Even though the devil has come to try and mess those plans up, they are still good plans. Those good plans are built into our DNA and recent scientific studies and research show that our thoughts can even effect those genes and alter them. Which is where freedom of choice comes in, only you can decide what you will think about? We read in 2 Corinthians 10:5,” Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
Taking every thought and examining it against the Word of God all 30.000 to 70.000 a day. Try and imagine the good things God has for you instead of what the devil gives you to imagine.
Keeping in mind that God created us and so we don’t really come from our mothers, but rather through our mothers.
So there are no real excuses here, nothing your parents did or did not do can really hold us back. It may make things a wee bit harder but still let us not forget who really made us in His likeness and image.
Yes its true the sins of the parents can effect you, if your dad was a raging alcoholic you may have a predisposition to become one yourself. If your parents were poor and lived in poverty you will have to overcome some obstacles as well. But again we have been given freedom of choice and we are created by God Almighty who wants us to succeed. Before anyone gave legal rights and brought curses into your family line, God put a blessing on you. Papa God equipped each of us with certain gifts and talents, and with His favour.
As I stated in my book, What Was I Thinking? If 80 to 95% of all sickness and diseases, and all sorts of problems of all manner are really spiritually based and activated in our thought life, then it makes sense to take each thought and examine it against the Word of God to walk in 80% to 95% blessings and health.
Because we have all been given these spiritual genes as well, just like we all have a spark of faith, and they are activated as we line ourselves up with the Word of God. That is where faith comes in, because without faith it is impossible to please the Lord. (Hebrew 11:6)
We read in Romans 12:3,” For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Always remember you control your brain, your brain does not control you and you only need the faith of a mustard seed for the Lord to move a mountain in your life.
We read in Mark 11:22,” And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” So be careful what you think and say and do and live your life to be glorifying to Christ. I pray the Lord’s supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of Agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
