Testing the Reins of Our Heart

30 Nov

We read in Jeremiah 17:10,” I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Our failures to follow all Lord’s instructions, result in our weakness in the trials that come to all of us testing our faith. The Lord our God is still testing the reins of our heart, if we rebel here on earth will we also end up rebelling in Heaven someday? That is a very valid question we need to consider. Why would the Lord allow us into eternity in Heaven if we won’t obey here on earth?

Revelation 3:5,” He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Does this mean your name once written in the book of life can be also be blotted out? It is a yes or no answer.

If you knew there was a possibility that after you were saved you could have your name blotted out of the book of life, do you think would you do a wee bit better staying on the narrow path we are called to walk? If you thought that no matter what you did after you were saved you still go to Heaven what sins would you continue in?

Matthew 7:22,”Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

As we study places like Hebrews 11 we clearly see it is going to take living in unwavering faith as true spirit filled born again believers, because that is the requirement for salvation that allows us to please the Lord our God.

How many believers are walking about easily offended by brothers and sisters in God’s family? If I am a friend of Jesus/Yeshua and you are a friend of Jesus/Yeshua do you really want to speak badly to Jesus/Yeshua about His friends? As one of His representatives here on earth our Holy Guide book to the Supernatural (the Bible) says do not touch Gods anointed!
We read in 1 Corinthians 10:32,” Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:”
As a pastor I am often dealing with pouring the extravagant love of Christ all over someone who has been tricked by the devil and has fallen into a place where they were so deceived they entertained unwanted poisonous thinking. Those unclean spirits merging with their own thought life, which cause them to feel easily offended. People often say the Upper Room Fellowship is a healing church and ministry, I must correct them, we are relationship church and ministry. When you get in right relationship with the Lord then healing is often a by product of that, as you seek the Lord and his kingdom of righteousness. Because as the priesthood of believers we have been assigned to be the ministry of reconciliation; whether we like it or not. If people got offended because the Jesus of Nazareth went about doing good healing the sick, performing miracles, why is it a surprise when people attack you, your integrity, your reputation, your history? Are you better then your master? We read in John 15:20,”Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” Keeping in mind at all times we are also instructed and commanded of the Lord in Matthew 5:44,” But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
The Holy Scriptures does not teach us to say, Yo’ Lord you want us to call down fire from Heaven and burn these backsliders up? The Lord says if you want to rid the planet of someone then you don’t know what spirit you are of. At the end of the day it’s like you end up drinking the poison you wanted to give your enemy if you don’t learn to forgive them from your heart.
Let us consider 2 Corinthians 5:18,” And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

The Lord Jesus/Yeshua said in John 10:27,” My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Jesus said in Luke 21:15, “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.’ I say hallelujah! Because “All”, things are possible with God! I pray the Lord’s supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
