As all these prophetic world events are unfolding before us let us stay diligent and continue to trust the Lord and pray, believing His Holy Word that we comfort each other and that we don’t lose heart. We read this amazing invitation in Jeremiah 33:3,”Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” The Lord spoke these words to his prophet Jeremiah when Jeremiah was imprisoned by an evil king who hated his prophetic messages from the Lord as so many do today.
Jeremiah was struggling here as anyone might who feels trapped, whose been wronged, and whose been imprisoned unjustly. The future may have looked in the natural to Jeremiah pretty dim and gloomy. Even as a prophet he may have felt his future appeared rather uncertain at that moment, and here the Lord God is was saying, “Call to me and keep praying to me and I will answer you and show you things beyond what you could even imagine.”
I reckon how shall the Lord show us those “great and mighty things” unless we do actually do call on Him in faith. In Luke 18:1,” And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
In other words don’t give into entertaining any spirits of fear or doubt and unbelief, any lying symptoms, lying signs and wonders, or allow yourself to feel discourage just because your prayer is not answered straightway. Rebuke and resist all opposition to your prayers getting answered, or any suggestion you won’t succeed and be victorious. Because it is a divine blood bought right to have your prayers answered, providing you don’t get double minded and lose heart and give up.’ Let me continue to share here from Luke 18:2,” Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
This parable illustrates the necessity of persevering when pray is not answered straightway. Here is this unjust judge who this women pestered to the breaking point where he finally conclude he would never have any more peace until he got ride of this women, and the easiest way was to simply grant her request. I am reminded of
Matthew 7:11,” If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
Clearly we are to always pray and not lose heart, even if things do not appear to be how we want them to be at the moment. Because we are to walk in faith not by how things may look at any given time. If you ever needed an answer for why you ought to continue to pray, Jesus said to keep pressing in and keep praying so that is all the answer we need to keep calm and carry on. Even in the mist of the spirit of insanity of the New Word Order, yes these things are prophesied so let us rejoice because Jesus Christ of Nazareth is coming back to put His world in order. Do not give in to the spirit of fear of the future.
The Lord told us obedience to His Word is better then performing sacrifices for him. I believe those of us who pray without ceasing, praying in the Holy Spirit will experience the joy and satisfaction of answered prayers. You shall see the salvation’s of those loved ones who been praying for, and you shall see supernatural healing and miracles. You shall experience the Lord’s special provision in your lives, because He shall provide for ALL your needs. Philippians 4:19,” But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
It appears to me prayer is not just about having some personal time with the Lord it is also God’s appointed way for our obtaining things we want and need.
I have often heard this passage misquoted and misrepresented from James 4:1,”From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”
Now when you study this you discover this was written and targeted to some of the Jews who fought many insurrections against the Romans under the pretense of defending their religious ways of life. There were also fractions of Jews who fought violently and massacred one another. There were Jews who fought the heathens and killed many of them, but it resulted in bringing destruction upon themselves. Even as they were trying to destroy idolatry and convert them. Because there was rebellion against the Lord along with backsliding and all manner of sin. We certainly must continue to pray and bless Israel. However, I do not think this passage should be taken by the spirit filled born again believers as an excuse for unanswered prayers as it so often seems taught.
Otherwise you are essentially identifying yourself with those lustful, murderous, adulterous, worldly, filled with a spirit of pride sinful ones. Is it any wonder why the Lord does not answer prayers from such people? ( See Isaiah 59:1-2) Because no true spirit filled believer can ask amiss if they are in Christ and asking according to the promises.
After all the Lord Jesus/Yeshua said in places like John 15:7,” If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
How about, Hebrews 11:6,” But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
James 1: 5,” If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
Mark 11: 22,” And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Therefore we can conclude the major reason prayers go unanswered for Christians is they are probably entertaining the spirit of doubt and unbelief. There are potentially answered prayers and wonderful good things just waiting for you, answers that you won’t receive unless you ask for them in the proper way, meaning you repent of anything that could be hindering your prayers and you ask in faith as a child would in great expectation knowing and understanding you are connected to the love of Christ.
Jeremiah 5:25,” Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.”
Psalm 66:18,”If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:”
I have had a number of people ask me, “if God loves me how come I am struggling”, and they name a variety of afflictions type issues or tell me no matter what they do they just can’t seem to get ahead. I usually tell them if you love God you just keep His commandments in the first place. Could it also be possibly you do not have because you have allowed some spirit of doubt in and you are not asking in faith?
John 9:31,” Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.”
I am not suggesting that if you simply worship and pray more, you are never going to suffer again in this fallen world. But I am saying there are many times when God will move supernaturally on your behalf if you just be bold enough to have faith to believe Him at His Word and truly worship the Lord.
Considering people have been rebuked for unbelief but never for having faith.
Consider these verses, Matthew 6:30,” Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”
Matthew 8:26,” And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”
Mathew 11: 20,” Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:”
Matthew 17:17,” Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.”
Matthew 16:14,” Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.”
Hebrews 4:16,” Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
All the blessings of the Lord we read about in places like Deuteronomy 28 can be ours if we truly continue to seek the Lord our God in all things. 2 Chronicles 26:5,”And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.”
Because we were made in God’s image and likeness to imitate the Lord not the devil.
I pray the Lord’s supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of Agape love.
