3 JunWe need to take control of our thought life and stop allowing those toxic thoughts the demons send you any opportunity to build up any more strong holds. There are now some very sophisticated imaging techniques that can actually shows all those chemicals changes being secreted or squirted out from the memory trees in the brain. So you can actually see what healthy thoughts look like and unhealthy thoughts, and can trace to some degree what they do in the bodily systems. Keeping in mind that all those good healthy memories you engage in and reactivate secrete out good chemicals that release healing molecules and bring about health and healing. All those mean nasty toxic thorny memory trees which hold onto all the bad memories and are built with spirits of hurts and bitterness secrete those toxic chemicals that eventually bring you sickness and diseases.
Every time those pre-existing memories are re-activated so its like a wind that blows and all those memory trees sway back and forth releasing electrical charges. Then the hypothalamus also activates the emotions that are all stored with them from within the library of your mind which is called the amygdala. Meaning that all those emotions that are activated were already developed and stored in your brain when those pre-existing memories which are like the strongholds were established as memory trees in your brain. Building Godly positive strongholds built on the Holy Scriptures will activate positive emotions and release good chemicals into your blood stream. Because we are to bring forth good fruit. Galatians 5:22 ,“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
God’s ultimate aim for all of us is our sanctification in Christ and our relationship with Him and others. Part of that sanctification process has to do with the Holy Spirit Baptism transferring 9 specific divine qualities and attributes to merge into our personalities.
The Lord our God wants to work with every true believer equipping them as needed with the 9 fruits and 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit. Causing you to become one mighty, sanctified highly trained soldier of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Messiah Yeshua.
For we read in 1 Corinthians 12:7,”But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”
So we have 1. The Word of Knowledge 2. The Word of Wisdom 3. The Gift of Prophecy 4. The Gift of Faith 5. The Gifts of Healings
6. The Working of Miracles 7. The Discerning of Spirits 8. Different Kinds of Tongues 9. The Interpretation of Tongues.
Not only does the Holy Bible tell us that these 9 gifts are available to all believers, but the Lord actually tells us that we ought to stir these 9 gifts up with the Lord. For example 1 Corinthians 14:39,” Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.” In other words we are to desire earnestly to prophesy. We are suppose to desire spiritual gifts, but especially that we may prophesy 1 Corinthians 14:1,” Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.”
1 Thessalonians 5:19,”Quench not the Spirit.20 Despise not prophesyings.”
Anyone notice how most of the modern church comes against prophesyings and so effectively quenches the Holy Spirit from moving amongst them. The Lord tells us not to neglect the gift that is in you, We are suppose to meditate on His Holy Word and in all these things that we give ourselves entirely to seeking first His Kingdom and righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. That also your progress as a true believer may be evident to all.” 1 Timothy 4:14,” Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.”
So we are to remind each other to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of hands.” 2 Timothy 1:6,” Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”
This is what the Lord says to do and He also warns us it is a narrow path and very few find it. So as you share the Gospel not everyone is receptive, but some will be who mix their faith with the Gospel truth. Hebrews 4:2,” For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”
1 Peter 1:7,” That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
Fire will only separate all the impurities from gold, so it doesn’t lose its colour or weight or any of its nature. Genuine faith will also prove itself, because faith in Christ makes you a new creature and gives you a personnel confidence as strong as the faith of those who saw the Lord Jesus in the flesh.
2 Corinthians 5: 17,” Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (old things are passed away;is a progressive statement here)
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;”
Romans 5:5,” And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
So how are we to deal with these issues when we engage in daily battles against the enemy of our souls trying to lure us into sin, that bates us into toxic thoughts? A negative stronghold or toxic thorny memory tree are quite capable of activating very strong emotion such as the spirit of fear brings to you. So that fear and that unloving spirit , along with spirits of bitterness and, anger, envy and jealousy, doubt and unbelief are able to rises up and check out memories from the library of your life from your amygdala. Now as you have probably already observed and experienced all these toxic emotions are very real and they can even re-surface many years after an event has occurred, when the memory of that event is activated and recalled. For example, when you think about how that person from your past hurt you and caused you pain and the times of suffering you experienced as a result. Because that pre-existing toxic thorny memory tree built along with the spirit of unforgiveness and bitterness’s help is reactivated by the electrical charge type wind that blows through your memory trees moving the corresponding negative emotions to be secreted into your blood stream from the amygdala. So that alters your perceptions and causes you to not feel like your in a blessed state of mind.
What is going on is you body is so wonderfully designed and created that it is able to communicate with itself and with your spirit and soul. Because you control your brain, your brain does not control you. However, the enemy of our souls has come to try and use this understanding against you. So all the information that is being communicated through all those molecules that carry that feeling or emotion you are experiencing, actually create a copy or imprint of the memory as they are being released and flowing throughout your bloodstream into all your body parts. They are then able to bind to receptors on your bodies cells which actually cause you to experience and physically feel that feeling of fear or anger or bitterness type of emotion that quickly rise up within you. In a similar way you might feel a rush of adrenalin when an alarm goes off unexpectedly or you see police lights flashing behind you as you are driving. That sort bad feeling that happens when you are confronted with negative information or situations and experience a moment of dread. So if this can happen as you are just thinking a thought, imagine how this is causing chemicals reactions to take place in your body. Because you are reacting to the thought and then replaying it mentally and physically as though the event was happening all over again. As if you could cause a different ending then what actually happened. Its really toxic to keep replaying something negative within, and keep thinking to yourself,” if only I did that differently.”
Research in the science of epigenetics has shown that when you deeply think, imagine and visualize something it produces the same physical reactions in the brain as it you are actually physically carrying out and doing the very thing during the imagination process.
Jesus told us if you so much as lust after a women you have committed spiritual adultery. So science is now showing that when you are imagining doing something, that pretty much exactly the same brain areas and circuits are activated as if you were actually doing the activity for real. Which the Lord Jesus said all along.
Matthew 5:28,” But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
Now the Lord gave us an imagination to be used for His glory, we need to live lives that are glorifying to Christ.
We read in Genesis 11:6,” And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”
You may need to start to see yourself and imagine yourself and others the way the Lord see you and them.
When a uncomfortable thought or feeling comes in, we must speak the Word of God out loud if possible to counteract that feeling or thought so that the enemy does not get a foothold again.
Studies of brain scans are showing that the same parts of the brain that are activated by your physical actions, are the same parts of the brain activated just by simply thinking about doing that action. What you think about the most grows the most and the more you imagine and meditate on that thought, the stronger and more vivid the emotional and physical reaction actually becomes.
So what happens is this, when you don’t understand this business of practicing taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) you find yourself wanting to respond to those strong toxic, negative, physical feelings that you are experiencing in your body. Numbers of people end up responding impulsively by immediately reacting to those emotional feelings that are trying to over take you. I mean how often have you said or done something because you felt put off or angry that turned out to be a mistake? The Lord said in Ephesians 4:26,” Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”
When you go with feelings rather then the Word of God you are headed for troubles. I had a man tell me once he only gets angry for about 5 minutes, I told him it only takes a few moments for a neutron bomb to go off and look at the devastation it leaves behind.
Because even though your emotions feel like they are based on truth, they are actually based more on your perceptions of what you think is the truth. To avoid doing this in future we must stand back and analyze our emotions based on the Word of God before reacting to them. Asking the Holy Spirit what would Jesus do is a good place to start. Because there is literally nothing we can not ask the Lord about. So the Holy Spirit can give you a word of knowledge on how to properly handle something that you are currently dealing with, or perhaps give you a word of knowledge to help and bless someone else out.
John 14:13,” And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” There is no limits on what you can ask the Lord about as long as you meet the requirements. With our own knowledge levels being so limited this side of heaven, we all need words of knowledge from the Lord on some kind of regular basis in this life so that we can live a life that is glorifying to Christ and fulfill our divine destiny. Since you are the only unique you there will ever be and God has a good plan for you to be here for such a time as this. You could have been born at any other time throughout creation and history and the Lord planned for you to be here now. The other thing is that you must not ignore or bury those emotions you are feeling in response to the thoughts that were activated in the memory trees of your mind. That keeping a stiff upper lip does not work out in the end so well. Because all those emotions that you tried to bury are most likely to eventually erupt at some point and when they do its like a volcano. This is when you see people have stack attacks and bring out a record of wrongs. Another reason the Lord tells us its the little things that cause big problem. Best to be transparent and deal with things as the happen before the Lord day after day, moment by moment.
Song of Solomon 2:15,”Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”
For example someone who trying to overcome the spirit of anger. They feel stressed from dealing with things going on in their work or office and then they start driving home in rush hour traffic when some rude person cuts them off in traffic causing them to have to slam on the brakes to avert being in an accident. So all those emotions want to burst out towards the rude driver in a fit of rage. In fact we have all heard too many stories of rode rage now. But with Godly knowledge and understanding the person who was stressed could simply acknowledge the emotion and say something like, “Yes, Lord I’m an feeling angry right now, however I understand there is no point in losing my patience because its not good for my body and it is not going to change the situation I am in. It is better to replace that emotion with a very logical, rational decisions and stay in the peace of God. Thank the Lord you avoided an accident instead. Besides there is something called the IgA which is an antibody secreted as the first line of defense against any invading infections. If you keep your peace your immune system works the way God intended it and you will not be susceptible to infections and diseases. What is really interesting is that if an individual experiences an episode of intense anger or frustration for just 5 minutes time, their IgA level drops 55% in the first hour. That is not good; also it stays dropped below normal for over six hours. Just after 5 minutes of anger or frustration. However if you respond as a child of God should do and keep your peace you are not in danger of this. If you experience an episode of deep appreciation or love for only 5 minutes your IgA levels rise up to 40% above normal and stay elevated for over six hours. You see it is true, that a hug a day keeps the devil away.
Proverbs 17:,22,”A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”
Now thing is that we serve the Lord and He is supernatural and so we come into agreement and understanding that being rational and making rational decisions includes being in the supernatural where signs and wonders, healing and miracles follow us as we follow after Christ. Basically the part of your brain where the library of you life is kept (amygdala) also stores and collects all these emotions which has a direct communication connected with the pre- frontal cortex. Your pre-frontal cortex is the part of your brain that help causes rational decision to be made. It helps you analyze all the information you have and it quite literally helps advises the emotional part of your brain what to do. Its sort of like one of those advise columnist where you write in your question and wait for the reply. So here you are having a conversation with yourself as you are processing all the information and your prefrontal cortex comes along to help you to deal with that emotion. So your pre- frontal cortex is more then willing to help you replace those toxic, negative emotional perceptions with a logical, rational decision. Maybe you simply come to the conclusion that its best to wait on the Lord to guide you through and no one is pushing you to decide right now. Keeping in mind the Lord leads and the devil drives.
Some research says children’s brains are not fully developed until the age of 25. The connection between the emotional part of the brain (amygdala) and that the pre-frontal cortex is not developed in children until the age of 18, which explains why parents often need to help guide their children’s emotional responses and decision making. Because most people make mistakes when acting on impulse. I can actually think of a number of adults that may not practice using their pre frontal cortex (rational decision maker) and can become overreactive quick easily and get stressed out over minor issues as if the sky was falling. So they might become rather reactive to emotions the enemy uses to dominant their thinking, which is never a good thing.
When you are acting impulsively out of anger things don’t usually turn out so well. It is really imperative that we begin to realise now how all your thoughts impact each other, because only you can control your thought life and prevent unwanted thoughts from overtaking you like a wildfire destroying everything in its path.
Yes we can’t really control the weather and events and circumstances of your day, unless maybe you work for HAARP, and even then you still can’t really control the outcome. However you can control your reactions as a child of God ought to do to all the events and circumstances you must face each day. If you are a child of God we need to act like one all the time.
The Lord tells us in Proverbs 25:28,” He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” That means anything can come and go as it pleases without a passport, and leave a mess anywhere it wants.
The thing is that all our thoughts are so integrated with other thoughts in our brain, it shall take some work and practice to take all our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.
Back in England you might see some lovely branches of ivy growing all over the place on established buildings and homes. You might also see some of those leaf stalks which became black and shriveled up. Often the results of some nasty insects and also bacterial that has joined that stem of ivy, starting out as a small light green spots which later turn brown or black and cause damage to the Ivy plant.
In a way our thoughts get all connected like that ivy and we may need to keep weeding out those nasty toxic thoughts of sin that all go against the Holy Word of God. Keeping in mind contrary to popular opinion, the Holy Word of God and the latest scientific research reveal that the links between thoughts are determined by you. Because the Lord designed us with the ability to help design our own brain. We get to choose this day whom we serve moment by moment. In other words this means that when you think about a particular thought, that thought actually receives an invitation or signal so it moves from your non-conscious mind into the conscious part of your mind. The thinking activity of that particular thought takes up actual real a state in your brain. Because through principles of quantum physics it is showing you are dealing with a real force with real particle-like and wave-like behaviour and interactions of energy and matter.
The Lord probably designed science as a way of showing just how awesome all His creation is. The way an artist puts a masterpiece into a frame that complements the work. How many people have bought into the idea that you are product of your family heritage? That you are just a product of their sinful patterns and habits. That you are really just a victim controlled by your genetics and biology so you might as well forget about your dream and visions for a better life. However, what does the Holy Word of God say to us?
2 Corinthians 3:18,” But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” I dare say that is some incredible encouraging news to share.
If you have spent most of your entire life of building negative toxic thoughts into your brain, helping the devil to build negative sinful strongholds there is good news. Even if today you may actually have a whole forest of toxic thorny memory trees in your brain, I have some awesome news. For the Gospel is the good news! In as little as just 4 days of thinking properly and taking control of your thought life, you can begin to eliminate those nasty thinking patterns and replace them with Godly thinking patterns.
In 21 days of consistently working on thinking about what your thinking about you can remove the thorns from those toxic thorny memory trees and you can create and build new healthy memories over them.
For example if you hear yourself saying,” if only I did (and you can fill in the blank)__________, what if _____I should have,_____ if only I would have,______ what should have happened,______ which are all toxic and rooted in the spirit of fear. For the spirit of fear always wants to project into the future and then replay past mistakes for you. So instead you catch yourself and say ” I choose to not allow these ungodly thought to control my future. Do what Jesus did in the temptations and quote the Scriptures back at the devil properly like Isaiah 43:18,” Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.”
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Hebrews 12:1,“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Galatians 2:20,“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
The thing is you can You can literally detoxify your brain and change its whole neuro-chemical structure through taking charge of your thought life. Because you control your brain, your brain does not control you.
For example, if you decide to reject all those sinful thoughts of unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, envy and jealousy, fear, fear of the future etc through genuine repentance, releasing all those who done you wrong and forgiving them including yourself, you can actually change that memory and the structure of those thorny memory trees. This is where scientific research has proven the Holy Word of God in the laboratory. Because it has now been scientifically proven that if you choose to reject those toxic thoughts and do what the Lord said instead and mediate on His Word. It bring healing to all your flesh. Purposefully meditating on what is good, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
The Word of God, causes actual chemicals released from those good thoughts so they flow through the thorny memory trees and literally remove the nasty thorns. For example, when you repent for entertaining that spirit of bitterness and you forgive all those who hurt you and did you wrong, the chemicals released from those thoughts will literally cut off the thorns off those thorny memory tree of bitterness. Now the memory won’t totally disappear as it will always be there, because you will always remember what that offence was or who had hurt you and what they did to you. However, because you have forgiven them through Christ’s awesome love that memory tree of bitterness will no longer be able to affect you or make you sick and cause diseases, because it no longer has the thorns that release those toxic chemicals into your blood stream. This is really important to understand. So then when you think of that person or situation where you got wounded in the past you no longer feel that feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach or that high octane ping go off inside of you; whereas before you went before the Lord’s throne of mercy, grace and love and asked for forgiveness and forgave all those concerned, when that situation or person came to mind you could physically feel that emotion of anger and pain rise up within your spirit.
This is how and why we must apply the Word of God in our life and we can apply this understanding to any situation we face where we recognise and discern that we have entertained toxic ungodly thinking. By applying the Word of God, by being a doer and not a hearer only we are able to eliminate the toxic thorny memory trees that were built by entertaining such spirits as the spirit of fear, shame, anxiety, worry, a low self-esteem, guilt, self- hatred, anger, envy and jealousy, rejection and all ungodly spirits that help and support these foul entities. When you purpose in your heart and make a decision to think about things the way the Lord said to think about them, by taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ. You are able to reject all those toxic thoughts and change your thinking to the way that God thinks about these things. By appropriating what the living Word of God instructs us to do you are able to grow new healthy memory trees over the places you eliminated the old toxic thorny memory trees. You will still have the old memory , however it no longer has any power to release toxic chemicals into your blood stream and the emotional pain it caused is also removed simultaneously. In science this process is called “retranscribing those memories neuroplastically.” The Lord called this “renewing the mind” all along.
Romans 12:1,” I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Ephesians 4:23,” And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”
The Lord designed your brain to have an incredible capacity to change, because anything you wired in you are able to wire back out. You are able to be restored and healed! You are able to literally remodel the toxic memories in your brain as you would remodel an old house and replace anything faulty with something healthy and new simply through changing the way you think and thinking Godly.

2 JunWe have many promises in our Holy Guide Book to the Supernatural, however the promise of God appear to all be conditional and this is where the superficial modern type churches depart from the faith. Scripture warns us about this parting of the ways and those who would try and come against the Lord’s supernatural church in the end times.
2 Timothy 4:3,” For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” You can become rather popular it appears if you just tell people what they want to hear, and preach that it is not necessary for believers in Jesus Christ to ever repent of their sins because “sin is automatically forgiven.”
However we read 2 Timothy 2:1,” Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
We are called to battle the enemy of our souls and that means enduring some difficult times it means dealing with some suffering in training as any solider discovers and we have been called to be a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Considering also that no one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer and simply obey the instructions given.
The Pastor’s job description is clearly defined in the Holy Bible. One of the primary things pastors are called to do is to correct people when they are heading down a wrong pathway and to encourage true repentance.
Because all preachers of the Gospel are commanded by the Lord to preach repentance, understanding that healing and restoration being by sanctification of the heart.
Luke 13:5,” I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
It is indeed true as you study the Holy Word of God to show yourself approved that there are numerous verses of Scripture that speak of the promise of salvation, with no mention of repentance. For example Acts 16:31,” And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Romans 10:9,” That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
However, we want to be like the Bereans ( Acts 17:11) and make sure and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. We read in 2 Timothy 2:15,” Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Because we also clearly see that sins and iniquities in our life and in our generation are playing a part in hindering us or separating us from the blessings and promises of the Lord.
There are many professing believers in the body of Christ who have rather worldly perspectives and have sadly been taught and programmed that once they are saved they are free from the influences of the kingdom of darkness. Many also act as if the Old Testament is no longer valid as we are under a new and better covenant.
So what do they do with verses where the Lord Jesus/Yeshua said things like in Matthew 5:17,”Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
Under Moses things like adultery and murder were against the law, in the new and better covenant these things are still against the law. How can a Holy God bless you in your sins, since all sin separates you from God? Even entertaining the spirit of fear separates you when you bow down to it and worry about things. It also releases toxic chemicals into your blood stream which breaks down your immune system and is the root issue behind my sicknesses and diseases.
We read in Isaiah 59:1,” Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Jeremiah 5:25,”Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.” Psalm 66:18,” If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:”
As I have said before your heart cannot lie, your heart will give you the result of what you have taken in and stored in it. Your brain however can apparently lie to yourself, because the response is a conscious choice. You are able to choose life or death, blessings or curses. It appears to me this is why the Scriptures repeatedly state in a number of places that God judges people by their hearts.
1 Samuel 16:7,” But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
So the bottom line is simply this without repentance from sin, without turning away from wicked things and sinful thoughts we can not have proper fellowship with our Holy God. As long as we continue to fellowship and entertain unclean spirits we are in trouble. As long as we continue to entertain such spirits as unforgiveness, self-bitterness, self-hatred; doubt and unbelief; lack of trust in God in His abilities to heal and restore and bless you, as long as we continue to entertain such spirits accusation; generational occultism; ungodly grief and sorrow and are critical of others and ourselves we are as dead in our trespasses and sins until we forsake them through repentance, and get our minds renewed or we cannot truly be made alive in Christ.
Ephesians 2:1,” And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”
It may be time you practice getting back into your proper seats together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The reason God invited repentance was so we could use it and get free. The Lord tells us about living a life that is glorifying to Christ and that means forsaking the worlds ways. We read about “repentance unto life” in Acts 11:18,” When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”
The moment we turn from our sin to our Saviour we are going to be blessed. Isn’t this the reason why the Lord had the Apostle Paul preached “repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” as we read in Acts 20:21,”Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The Lord sent John the Baptist to help pave the way for Jesus and John the Baptist began his ministry saying “repent.” Matthew 3:1,”In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
In fact lets reason this all together what did the Lord Jesus first preach when he went public but “repent” Matthew 4:17,” From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Jesus warned all those who would listen that without repentance, they would perish as we read in places like Luke 13:3,” I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
How interesting to observe today that so many of the modern popular type churches have departed from this basic understanding.
If just believing in Jesus Christ of Nazareth is all that is necessary to spend eternity with God for salvation, then I reckon the logical conclusion here is that no one needs ever repent. There are now some very popular preachers offering this sort of false doctrine.
However, we read in James 2:19,”Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.,”
Just because you believe in God is not proof that you are justified by faith, because the demons believe without justification.
Our Holy Guide Book to the Supernatural tells us that a false convert “believes” and yet is not saved. In Luke 8 Jesus gave us a parable about how seeds are planted and grow and shared how that the seed is the living word of God.
Luke 8:13,”They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. In other words this is a person who just believes actually remains a “worker of iniquity.” Because they are a hearer only and not a doer of the Word. They may go to the modern type seeker friendly church on Sunday and hear a feel good tick your ear message and be entertained with all the trappings of a London’s west end production. But they leave the same way the came in and live like heathens the rest of the week until they are entertained once again the following Sunday.
They are deceived, and need to hear the true Gospel. I have personally ministered over the years to numerous victims of the modern seeker friendly churches. For example, I have had to minister several young unwed mothers who grew up as part of the seeker friendly churches. I rest my case.
James 1:22,” But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
How many people are attending churches today, especially in those popular type modern tickle their ear churches that fit into this category? They go to church yet no real godly changes are being made within their hearts because although they profess to believe they run after the things of this world.
They are deceiving themselves, thinking they can continue to live in sin and expect to be saved and blessed by the Lord Jesus.
1 John 2:15,”Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
We have so many warning of this in the Holy Scriptures we better paid attention here for example 1 John 1:6,” If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.”
In the Old Testament which is for our instructions in righteousness we have Proverbs 28:13,” He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.’
Who really wants to confess their sins? Who would cause you to fear doing such a thing as going before the Lord who knows everything and confessing your sins before His throne of mercy, grace and love? Let us guess perhaps the kingdom of darkness is influencing you more then you may realise.
In fact the Lord says to get healed we ought to be able to confess our sins before one another. Today that is probably more difficult in the modern churches that would imagine because they will probably shun you for admitting you made mistakes.
James 5:16,” Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
I pray you find a church family where it is always a safe place to go before the Lord and deal with the real issues of your life. Considering that the Lord Jesus said that there was joy in heaven over one sinner who “repents” as we read in Luke 15:10,” Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Now if there is NO true repentance, there is NO joy because there is No salvation.
We read how Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost, he instructed all those there to repent “for the remission of sins” Acts 2:38,” Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Obviously then without true repentance, there is no remission of sins and no gifts of the Holy Ghost.
Peter went on to say in Acts 3:19,” Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”
Are we still under we a time when God will one day pour out His wrath?
Who then can be saved and converted unless we truly repent from our hearts? Papa God “commands all people everywhere to repent”, which leaves absolutely no exceptions.
Acts 17:30,” And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”
If repentance wasn’t absolutely necessary for our salvation, can anyone explain why the Lord Jesus commanded that repentance be preached to all nations? Luke 24:47,” And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
Throughout the Holy Scriptures we read again and again of the necessity of repentance for salvation, this to me begs the question how can those who preach this modern day message of grace on steroids and salvation without repentance lead anyone to Christ? It makes them rather suspect that they themselves are strangers to repentance, and true conversion. The Lord told us to judge them by their fruit and just because they gain popularity is no reason to think that is good fruit. For example when you meet people from some of these modern entertainment type churches they appear rather worldly and superficial. They know virtually nothing about casting out demons and healing the sick, which is one of the first commandments the resurrected Lord Jesus told his followers to do in Mark 16:15-20
Clearly in both the Old and New Testaments it say “repentant and be saved”
2 Corinthians 7:10,” For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
In other words Godly sorrow that works repentance to salvation changes your life and cleanses it from all manner of sin.
Romans 1:17,” For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”
The whole world is guilty and there is no excuse now for not understanding or remaining ignorant of the invisible things that influence and effect us here in the visible world.
