Caspar McCloud – Controversial Christian Musician

24 Jun

Caspar McCloud is a brilliant artist both musically and visually and seeing his Pre-Raphaelitism approach to painting one can easily compare him with other genius of the high renaissance period. But more then all that he is a devoted man of God because after obtaining a recording deal with Atlantic Records to establish his place in the world of music he walked away from the promises of fame and fortune to seek the promises of God in the Holy Bible. According to reliable sources after his first child was born he soon realized playing “Rock Star” was not conducive to being a good husband and father. Which may have brought the realization all too close to home when McCloud’s own father was tragically shot and killed hours after the birth of his first child in 1982.

McCloud returns to the UK this year after a hiatus in the States where he authored several books and musical Cd’s whilst serving as a pastor. The man appears to have many interesting gifts, but the one that is probably most interesting and sought after is the gifts of the Holy Spirit that he operates in. McCloud was completely healed of an incurable and fatal heart disease which has been medically proven in 2001 and he now continues to share his faith in Jesus Christ and pray for others. Many have testified they have been healed through his ministry, but McCloud is quick to point out that he can take no credit for anyone’s supernatural healing because he is simply an instrument of the Lord he serves.

Like anyone today in Christianity that is serving the Lord and getting results, the devil has launched a counter attack to try and discredit them. One only needs Google the most popular evangelists on the web today to realize each one of them has their fair share of on line attackers from Dr Billy Graham to Joyce Meyer to Reinhart Bonnke. You may recall something in the Bible about Jesus telling his disciples they would also be persecuted for the Gospel sake if they choose to pick up their crosses and follow him.
Such a deal, who can turn it down!

So it is little wonder McCloud has also attracted such attacks on the web, as it has become such a business that today there are now companies that specialize in defending peoples reputations and business.

Freelance writer Rebecca Meiser must have had some sort of evil agenda when she wrote against McCloud in such an article in 2008. After reading it I was reminded of an of how very powerful those spin doctors of the media can be when they pretend to act as investigative reporters, or is that now a modern word for Gossip? How sad to realize so many people in this world may lack the gift of discernment. If you recall history the brilliants of evil men who discovered that if you spread lies long enough people will accept it as truth for a while. Nazi spin doctor Joseph Goebbels is quoted to have said, “Propaganda should be popular, not intellectually pleasing. It is not the task of propaganda to discover intellectual truths.”
He also said” My (Nazi) Party is my church, and I believe I serve the Lord best if I do his will, and liberate my oppressed people from the fetters of slavery. That is my gospel”. Goebbels gospel was helping to slaughter every Jewish person in the world, so it was a false gospel. It is therefore interesting to note that most of Germany after WWII were totally clueless of the atrocities of what Hitler’s Nazi party had actually done, just as Britain and the US today are apparently clueless to what our leaders are doing to bring in a one world government.

Here is a good example of what a spin doctor is able to do through the Media today. Just before the election of Bush and Gore I received a humorous email that read. “Tipper Gore discovered that her husband’s great great uncle, Gunther Gore, was Goebbels hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Tennessee in 1889.

The only existing photograph shows him standing on the gallows. On the back of the picture is this inscription: “Gunther Gore; horse thief. Sent to Tennessee Prison 1883, escaped 1887. Robbed the Tennessee Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.”
After letting President Clinton’s large staff of professional image consultants review this discovery, they took the following actions to assist Al’s campaign to become the next president. They decided to crop Gunther’s picture, scan it in as an enlarged image, and edited it with image processing software so that all that is seen in the final picture is a head shot. Along with this enhanced photo, the accompanying biographical sketch was sent to the Associated Press:

“Gunther Gore was a famous cattleman in early Tennessee history. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Tennessee railroad company. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to service at a government facility, finally taking leave to resume his business enterprise with the railroad. In 1887 he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889 Gunther regrettably died suddenly during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform on which he was standing collapsed.”
So you see God knew best after all, because there is nothing new under the sun, Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Rebecca Meiser article as others who write like her have little truth in them and purposely distort the facts. Does it really matters if McCloud quite Beatlemania in 1977 or was fired from lack of talent as her article claims. Only discerning people are able to reason out, if it was from lack of talent how did McCloud even pass the auditions and go on to signed with major labels like Atlantic Records?
McCloud recently revised his first book “Nothing Is Impossible” which now includes testimonies from eye witnesses of credible people who actually know the facts and validate the man was telling us the truth all along.
Also available on Kindle.
I highly recommend this book as it reads like a biography but is loaded with Biblical insights and truth to help people recover themselves so they can also be healed of what ever has broken their hearts. After all didn’t Jesus Christ come here to mend broken hearts.
